Mason wanted a nature setting for his pictures and I wanted to try somewhere other than the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, so we headed to the Chisolm Trail Museum in Cleburne. I had shot there one other time several years ago in the dead of winter and had never been back so I thought it would be the perfect place! Turns out, the best time to shoot there is, in fact, the dead of winter. In the warm climate of Texas, this place was CRAWLING with all kinds of bugs. We walked into a million spider webs, even ran into a GINORMOUS spider spinning a web, fought dozens of wasps, and I walked away with a few ant bites. I was surprised we didn’t run into any snakes…I had my eyes peeled for them! BUT, I still think it was worth it! I’ll just be armed with bug spray and closed-toed shoes next time! The light was gorgeous for Mason’s session and he was so photogenic! Congratulations on your senior year, Mason!

The color in your photos is so spot on!! You have such a great eye for it!
Thank you so much, Kira!
